Knowing your values and purpose are essential to serving your clients, but you need to know about your clients' needs before you can fully establish a clear vision. That's a major challenge in education when it feels like the institution wants to be everything to everyone. Developing an organizational vocabulary shapes a company's culture. It should be simple to understand so any employee could explain it. The example of ING in the video and the book strikes me- more companies need to have a firmer idea of their values.
