Three ideas presented by Pink really struck me in this video. The idea that everyone is dealing with their own version of the candle problem at work- it really makes you think about how we educate our children to creatively solve problems. The second idea which stuck out at me was that there is a mismatch between what science knows about motivation and what business actually does- so true! The third idea that I took away from this video is that management is great if you want compliance, but self-direction will foster engagement.
